Emma Haw

Emma was born and raised in the farmlands of the Midwestern United States.  She obtained an Associate in Science degree from Lincoln Trail College, becoming the first person in her family to earn a college degree.  Emma continued her education at Southern Illinois University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in Organic Chemistry.  Emma graduated cum laude from Indiana University McKinney School of Law while earning her Doctorate of Jurisprudence. While in law school, Emma became a mediator in the State of Texas, served as the Executive Articles Editor for the Indiana Health Law Review, interned with the Indiana Court of Appeals, and was a research assistant for two health law professors.

Emma began her legal career as an intellectual property attorney, drafting and defending patents and trademarks before the United States Patent & Trademark Office. She passed the Patent and Trademark Examination to become an expert in this field. Emma switched her main practice area in 2011 and began focusing on Estate Planning and Probate law, because she realized her passion in working directly with clients and helping them transition through difficult times in life.
