Welcome

Over 12 years Experience

Emma accepts cases in estate planning, including preparation of a will and/or trust, power of attorney, a designation of guardianship, and probate matters in Oviedo and throughout Central Florida. Emma is licensed in both Texas and Florida and can provide legal services in either or both states.

A free initial virtual (telephone or video) consultation is offered to potential clients. This consultation serves to identify the specific needs of the individual or business, brainstorm a plan to solve whatever problems they are facing, and to anticipate legal fees that will be incurred throughout the process. If we need to meet in person later to sign or go over documents, Emma only accepts a limited number of clients at a time to ensure that she can adequately respond to requests, answer questions, and get documents drafted as expediently as possible. Even though she only accepts limited clients, Emma keeps her prices down by diligently finalizing each case in a reasonable timeframe.

Where is The Haw Law Firm, LLC located?

The Haw Law Firm, LLC is located in both Katy, Texas, and Oviedo, FL. Emma Haw is a resident of Oviedo, so she is able to meet clients face-to-face in Oviedo. Emma also travels to Texas periodically to meet clients, attend court hearings, etc. for her Texas clients.

Do you perform work for flat fee?

Flat fees are quoted as often as we can. Sometimes we cannot anticipate legal fees due to the complexity or uncertainty of the case. On those occasions, we quote an hourly fee.

Do you regularly keep in contact with clients?

The Haw Law Firm, LLC only takes on a limited number of clients at one time. Therefore, Emma works expediently and is very communicative to finalize your case in a timely manner.

Are clients being met in person?

Due to COVID-19, most meetings are done by telephone or video conference. Will signings are done in person if the extra fee is paid. We use sanitized pens, face masks, and social distance as much as possible when meeting in person.

testimonials

“My wife and I hired Mrs. Haw to make out our wills. Her rates were clearly published on her website and everything was very straightforward. She had us complete a comprehensive information form covering what we wanted done in the event of our demise, and then she constructed all of the documents. We then met with her again to go over all of the documents and she explained, in plain English, what everything was, what it said, and what it meant. This also included durable powers of attorney and medical directives in the event of our incapacitation as well. She was very thorough and professional in our dealings.”

“I feel very fortunate to have had the professionalism and support that was given to me and my wife by Emma Haw as our attorney. She always made us feel very comfortable throughout this overwhelming experience in preparing our will I could always count on a returned phone call or e-mail in a timely manner answering all of my questions very thoroughly and informatively, never making me feel as though it was a burden to do so.”
